The full Council has oversight of the work of the other committees and ratifies all financial decisions and major executive decisions. It also considers any issue referred by a committee or on which views of the whole Council are required.
COMMITTEES
Community Committee
Deals with all community issues, youth services, support for voluntary organisations and grant funding. It also handles aspects of road safety, public transport, education and community events.
Planning and Environment Committee
Deals with individual planning applications and with development issues in and around the Parish as well as issues relating to the general environment within the Parish. It also handles aspects of highways, open spaces and allotments.
Policy and Finance Committee
This committee deals with the internal policies of the Council and with financial issues including the budget and business plan
The agenda for each Parish Council and Committee meeting will be available on the website in 'pdf' format at least two working days before the relevant meeting.
Minutes of meetings, again in 'pdf' format will be published on the website, usually within a week of the meeting.
COMMUNITY NEWS
Community News is published four times a year and distributed to every household in the Parish. It contains a wide range of articles and useful information. Copies are available in many local shops, libraries etc.
Articles for inclusion are always welcome and should be submitted to the clerk at the address on the home page.
WEBSITE
The website is designed to keep you informed about all the Parish Council's activities including meeting dates, committees, finances, meeting minutes and parish activities as well as news and views from around the parish.
