We heard from MKP, on Friday 15th Augus, that Lagan homes have withdrawn their application for the development of Phase 1 yet again.
It seems likely that a combination of the severe downturn in the housing market and massive local opposition are factors in the decision. It would seem also that the development of Phases 2&4 plus the whole of Tattenhoe Park are on hold.
What is certain is that sooner or later the site will be developed but when and in what style remains to be seen!

The next step is to get a massive turnout at the crucial planning meeting which is probably September 1st at Christ the Cornerstone church opposite M&S in the Centre.
The meeting will be at 5:30pm - very inconvenient - but PLEASE PUT IT IN YOUR DIARY AND MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND.
