At a packed meeting of the Milton Keynes Development Control Committee on Monday 6th September, despite strenuous objections from the Parish Council and local residents, the application was approved by the narrowest of margins (5 in favour, 4 against with 2 abstentions) for the:-

"Construction of a community sports facility including pavillion, ground re-leveling and drainage to create 4 pitches (rugby, baseball/softball), three 15 metre high floodlights and 110 parking bays at Emerson Valley District Park for Milton Keynes Council"
