PARISH WARDEN - MARK WEBBER
Mark's job is to be the eyes and ears of the Parish Council on the ground. He regularly patrolls the grid squares and is easily recognisable in his uniform with the Parish Council name and logo, so keep an eye open for him. If you have a problem, comment or want to pass on information to us, Mark is there to help, so please make use of his services. You can contact him on 07970902357.

PARISH WARDENS REPORT October 2008

During the month of October I added 38 new items to my Problem Log,  bringing  the total for the year to 484 with 12 items left to be completed. The majority of these items added are what I have found whilst patrolling the streets in the parish, whilst carrying out weekly checks on allotments, play parks, waste and dog bins and other problem hotspots within the area. The remaining items have been reported directly to me from residents around the Parish.

Again unfortunately 3 of the long term items that I thought would be done over the last few months still haven’t been completed and I am still trying to chase these items up.  These are the loose/missing bricks at Silicon Court, Shenley Lodge (these are classed as low priority by MKC), Missing and raised Bricks at the seating area near the play park at Marconi Croft, Shenley Lodge (apparently will be sorted out sometime soon), and the missing road name sign at Plymouth Grove, Tattenhoe (waiting for developer to supply as not adopted).

As usual I have also been working on the regular items which always seem to come up, people have reported these to me or I have found them - such as broken glass, litter, dumped newspapers, trolley’s and graffiti around the parish that I have either removed or reported to the appropriate department.

PCSO Darryl Ropke and I did an EVA (Environmental Visual Audit) on Shenley Lodge for the NAG (Neighbourhood Action Group) this month.  I reported 14 items that we found on our patrol to MKC Environmental services and also BT as the phone box had been vandalised and broken glass was all around the box.

I have been busy trying to keep allotments tidy and ready for winter.  I have trimmed the bush at Wimborne Crescent Allotment and disposed of the cuttings, strimmed an allotment plot and some of the ridings on Garthwaite Crescent, trimmed part of a bush by the Old Beams pub on Shenley Lodge as people walking along the path couldn’t see cars coming and also hired a shredder to shred the branches that Andy and I cut down at Maybach Court allotment. The water has been now been turned off at all the allotments for winter.

The Family Fun day on Thursday 30th October seemed to be a success and everyone who attended seemed to enjoy themselves, I got involved with helping organise arts and craft but the children seemed much better than me with their drawings and fantasy dip.

There was also a Milton Keynes street football project at Tattenhoe Pavilion that I attended and helped out at for part of the day on Friday 31st October. I also attended the Shenley Brook End and Emerson Valley clean up day with Andy.

As always I look forward to continuing to tackle any issues that may arise and I do appreciate residents contacting me about areas which are affecting them and are of particular importance to them.
